Introduction :
Incrustations on heat transfer surface deposited from the cane juice, Sugar Liquor,& Syrup and molasses processed. The main caution in the scales is always calcium with small amounts of magnesium, combined with sulphates, phosphates, oxalates or silicate. The treatment for removal of these scales now goes to word chemical antiscalent treatment to avoid further problems of processtrouble, with considerable benefits and less machanical cleaning prob­lems during cleaning period.
 
The MACNIL is a precission scale inhabitor. It is Acrlic Polymer based inhibitor antiscalent, Specially developed for efficient working of evaporators and pans in Sugar Indus­try. This chemical keeps the scale in dispersed condition which will go in final molasses at the end. Whatever very minor scales deposited on evaporated tubes or pan-tubes is very soft and amorphous, which is easy to remove.

In Cooling Tower often it is seen that scale of Calcium Carbonate, Magnessium Carbonate, Silica , Sulphate scales block the heat transfer area. The same is observed in different types of Heat Exchangers, Pipes carring hard water . For cooling tower it is difficult to remove the scale with the help of Acid because the acid may corrode copper tubes .
We have developed a new product AT-TREAT-901 (ORGANIC DESCALANT) in liquid form to remove scales deposited on the wall of heat exchanger. AT-TREAT-901 removes not only the scales but protect copper, Aluminum from corrosion. It is organic formulation of Polymers, Chelating Agents, Glycol, Azole based corrosion inhibitor.

Application:
Quantity of AT-TREAT-901 for Descaling depends upon scale concentration. One can circulate the solution with help of electric pump for 7-8 Hrs. If thin layer of scale are around pipe wall, we recommend to circulate the solution (1:3 with D.M. WATER) for atleast 7-8 Hrs.( After dilution.with water). Before circulation disconnect from original source of water. If the scale are very hard and thick we recommend not to dilute or dilute 1: 1 with water depending upon scale concentration. . After circulation for 7-8 Hrs flush with clean water and connect to original source of water.
Can be used to descale Solar Pipes, Cooling Tower, Boiler Tubes descaling Any kind of Heat Exchanger.
PRODUCT SAFETY & HANDLING INFORMATION:
Avoid contact skin and eyes. Keep away from acids. In case of contact with skin , wash with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and seek immediate medical attention. In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water, cover affected eye with sterile pad and seek immediate medical attention. Wear gloves and goggles wherever appropriate.
FIRST AID :
SKIN : Flood area with water for at least 10 minutes. Remove any contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention
EYES : Irrigate thoroughly with clean water for at least 10 minutes. Cover affected eye with sterile eye pad and seek immediate medical attention.
INGESTION: Wash mouth thoroughly & drink plenty water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention.

Massecuilite is a product specially designed to lower viscosity of massecuites, reduce surface tension and improves boiling efficiency, crystallisation, centrifugation and exhaustion of molasses.

Application:
Massecuilite effectively controls organic deposites like poly saccharide hydrolysis prod­ucts and caramelization products of surcose in vacuum pans Thus it not only reduces the viscosity of masse cuite but also the scaling in the pans.
 
The increased fluidity results in the reduction in boiling time, reduced steam and water consumption better exhaustion of the molasses and better curing in the centrifugals. The crys­tal quality is also improved.
Advantages :
1. Increased circulation resulting in greater fludity. emulsion of gums, controls of mucilagenous substances and calcium salts, reduction in boiling time and better crystal quality. The increased fluidity will provide bricks and better exhaustion of the molasses.
2. In Crystallisers, Syrup and Molasses Tanks : Massecuilite reduces mass viscosity and impu­rities thus providing greater fluidity and preventing foam formation and slime deposits on the tank walls.
3. In the Centrifuges : Yield increases when massecuilite is applied to the wash water of centrifuges We recommend adding from 0.02 to 0.3% based on the flow of water.

Dosage:
 
At Vaccum Pans : Massecuilite may be added to all pans diluted or undiluted. Massecuilite dosage will depend on several factors, such as syrup purity, cane circulation, circulation of massecuites and molases and circulation in vaccum pans Generally the dosages recom­mended are as follows.
 
a) For A & B massecuites : 1.0 to 1.5 kg. per 100 MT of m/c
 
b) For C massecuite : 1.0 to 3 Kg. per 100 MT of “C” m/c.
 
c) For Graining : 2 to 3 kg. for 3 pans grain
 
For best results half of the quantity should be added after the grain is established and the other half at 3/4°'''' level for graining. A & B massecuites.
 
For C m/c. equal parts of the total dose should be added :
 
i) At the beginning
 
ii) At half level
 
in) Before dropping
 
Massecuilite can also be added in crysallisers and molasses tanks by dissolving the product at the rate of one part of massecuilite per 25 parts of water.

This chemical keeps the scale in dispersed condition which will go in final molasses at the end. Whatever very minor scales deposited on evaporated tubes or pan-tubes is very soft and amorphous, which is easy to remove.
Special Merits :
Prevent Scale Formation : Macnil is special polymer which keeps the Calcium and Mag­nesium scaling salts in water soluble condition and hence no deposition on evaporator and pan tubes.
Extension of cleaning period : Period between two general cleaning is extended consider­able. Suppose any body takes the cleaning after 35000 to 40000 MT crushing without antiscalant then by using our antiscalant the crushing will be continued up to 65,000 to 70,000 MT without any operational trouble.
Saving in Cleaning : As stated above the crushing operation is being extended which contributes to reduce down the number of cleanings.
Saving in cleaning chemicals : As number of cleanings are reduced ultimately cleaning chemicals and equipments are reduced.
Saving in total season days : Due to reduction in number of cleanings, the total number of season''''s days are saved. These saving in days reduces in salary days of the factory.
Saving in inversion loss : During cleaning period inversion loss takes place in stocked juice, syrup, molasses, massecuits which will be saved for number of cleanings.
Reduction in harvesting and transport operation : Due to saving of number of cleanings, the transport and harvesting program is less dis turned. This will help to smooth working of factory.
Constant and uniform syrup BX : By use of this antiscalant the heat transfer coefficient is improved and which will help to keep the constant and uniform syrup Brix up to next cleanings.
Saving of Bugasses : Number of cleanings are reduced with uniform heat transfer coefficient which will help to reduce down the steam consumption and ultimately bagasse saving is achieved.
Crushing rate is increased : By better heat transfer, crushing rate is increase with increased imbibition resulting increased extraction.
Mechanical Cleaning Period Reduced : Due to soft scales on tubes, the mechanical cleaning period shortens so that we can start the factory within short period.
No Side Effects : This antiscalant keeps the scale in dissolved condition up to end products So no side effects on sugar color, viscosity or any other process problems.
